# Adding Managed Artists to Your Shop

Use **Add Managed Artist** when your shop will manage an artist's profile. Use [Invite Team Member](https://help.useapprentice.com/en/article/inviting-artists-to-your-shop-1m4lq9h/) when they need their own account access.

## Prepare a managed profile

1. In your shop workspace, open **More** → **Artists** under **Operations**.
2. Select **Add Managed Artist**.
3. Enter the required **First name** and **Email**. You can also add a last name, phone number, bio, and photo.

4. Check **Booking notifications** and **Show on shop page**. The visibility switch starts on, so decide whether the profile should appear publicly before saving.
5. Review the remaining options. **Send SMS for new bookings** may be unavailable. Turn on **Redirect to external booking** only when that is how you want to handle bookings.
6. Check the details, then select **Add Artist**. Return to the roster and verify the saved profile and its public visibility before sharing it with clients.

## If you are not ready

Select **Cancel** to leave without adding the artist. Confirm the email and notification preferences with the artist before saving.

Do not assume creating a managed profile gives someone login access. Use the invitation flow when they need to work in Apprentice themselves.
