# Creating Booking Links for Clients

Create a client-specific link so a client can choose an appointment time for an approved request.

## Before you start

Sign in as an artist and choose **Your studio**. Have the intended client and an approved request or project ready.
This guide covers the mobile web **Send link** flow from an approved request.

The **Booking Links** page under Business manages reusable booking pages. Its **Create booking link** action opens a different form.

## Create a client-specific link

1. Open **Requests** and find the intended request. Check the client and description.
Review a pending request before choosing **Accept Request**. For an existing approved request, open its action menu and choose **View Details**.
2. In the approved request, choose **Send link**. In **Booking Links**, choose **Create Link**.

3. Check **Client** and **Project**. A project can preset the service; the service control is then locked to that project.
4. Set **Session length** and **Link Expires In**. Check **Appointment Type** and choose the correct **Location**.
Do not assume the default location is the location for this request.

5. Choose a scheduling mode:
   - **Open Availability** lets the client choose from the available calendar.
   - **Offer Times** lets you select dates and times to offer. Select 2–6 times and check them before creating the link.
See [Open Availability vs. Offer Times](https://help.useapprentice.com/en/article/open-availability-vs-offer-times-1ka7zgn/) for screenshots and examples.
6. Review **Prep send policy**. Keep the location default unless this booking needs a different policy.
7. Select **Send via email now** or **Send via SMS now** only when you want that delivery method.
Check the client's contact details first. Leave both off if you only want to create the link.
8. Choose **Create Booking Link**. Wait for **Booking Link Created!** before continuing.
9. Use **Copy** to copy the link. Choose **Done** to return to the client's link list.

## Check the result

Reopen **Send link** and find the new entry. Check its creation date, expiry, and status.
A copied link is not proof that an email or text arrived. Confirm the client can open the link and sees the correct artist, location, and session.

When the client books, verify the appointment date, time, timezone, and status in **Appointments**.
Creating a link alone does not reserve a time.

## Replace a link that cannot be used

Use **Revoke** on the specific link you want to retire, then create a replacement.
Check the request and creation date so you do not revoke another client's active link.

If confirmation rejects an offered time because of advance-booking rules, choose a later eligible time.
Do not treat a visible offered time as proof that confirmation will succeed.
If a client sees **Booking link not found**, check whether that link was revoked and provide a current link.
