# Re-tagging Past Appointments by Service

Shop Settings includes a historical **Service re-tag** tool. Its page says it changes analytics tags while leaving clients, appointments, and money in place.

1. Open **More → Settings → Service re-tag** in the shop workspace.
2. Inspect **From service** and **To service** carefully. Do not assume the initially selected destination is the one you need.
3. Review the request, appointment, project, and visit row types, date controls, and optional artist limit.
4. Enter a reason when preparing an authorized correction; the form requires at least 10 characters before Preview can become available.

Review the selected services, dates, and record types before making a correction. Contact support if you are unsure which records should change.
