# Tracking Your Earnings and Payouts

Use Payments to inspect earnings and unpaid studio share. An earnings total is not proof that money reached your bank.

## Open earnings

1. Open **More → Business → Payments**.
2. Select **Earnings**.
3. Review **Total earned · all time**, **Unpaid studio share**, and **Last payout** as separate figures.
4. Inspect the start and end date controls and the earnings rows. The table includes date, project, client, **You receive**, source, and status.

Read each row’s status alongside its amount. A pending studio share is separate from a completed payout; check **Last payout** for payout information.

Do not treat **Collected (card)**, outside payment records, gross payment amounts, and your share as interchangeable. Keep the displayed date range and status with any figures you share with your studio.

## Payouts and refunds

Card payments go to your Stripe account first. For a shop booking, they go to the shop's Stripe account. Stripe then pays your balance out to your bank on your Stripe payout schedule. Apprentice can't promise a date. A new account's first payout can take longer.

If your shop turns on automatic artist transfers, your share moves into your own Stripe account. That transfer is not a bank payout. Your share then follows your own payout schedule.

If you work in a shop and a payment is refunded, your earnings drop by your share of the refunded payment and tip. See [Refunding a Payment](https://help.useapprentice.com/en/article/refunding-a-payment-q7985/).

To export, choose **Earnings**, pick a start and end date, and choose **Export CSV**.
