Tips

  • Brand Consistency: Use colors that match your existing portfolio, business cards, or social media
  • Readability First: Choose font and color combinations that are easy to read on all devices
  • Test on Mobile: Most clients will view your page on mobile - make sure it looks great there too
  • Contrast Matters: Ensure your highlight color has good contrast with the background for accessibility
  • Font Pairing: If you use multiple fonts (via custom CSS), pair a decorative font with a simple one for balance
  • Shop Branding: If you're part of a shop, you can inherit shop branding by enabling "Use Shop Branding" instead of creating custom colors

Common Issues

  • Issue: My custom color doesn't look right → Solution: Make sure you're entering a valid hex code (6 characters starting with #). Use a color picker tool to get the exact hex value.
  • Issue: The font isn't loading on my page → Solution: Clear your browser cache and refresh the page. Google Fonts are loaded from a CDN and may take a moment to appear.
  • Issue: Changes aren't showing up → Solution: Make sure you clicked "Save Branding" and wait a few seconds. Hard refresh your public page (Ctrl+Shift+R or Cmd+Shift+R).
  • Issue: I want to reset to defaults → Solution: You can always switch back to preset colors and the Inter font, which are the platform defaults.
