Creating Stencils from Photos
Open Stencil in AI Studio to prepare a reference image for conversion. Check the uploaded image and resulting line work before using a stencil.
Prepare a stencil
- In your artist workspace, open More → Studio under Gallery, then select Stencil.
- Add one source image in Upload Photo. The current uploader accepts JPG, PNG, or WebP. Use an image you have permission to upload.
- Wait until the upload finishes. A visible preview alone does not mean the upload succeeded. If the card says Failed, remove it and follow the error message before trying again.
- Choose a Detail Level: Low, Medium, or High. Choose the level that suits your reference image.

- Select Create Stencil when available. Check the result before exporting or saving it. If the button stays disabled, check the upload state first.
If an upload fails
Remove the failed image before trying again. Keep your original file and contact support if uploads continue to fail.
Do not assume that a generated stencil is ready to apply. Review its lines, size, and details as part of your usual preparation.
