Managing Your Waitlist
Managing Your Waitlist
Use your personal walk-in queue to keep track of clients who are waiting, checked in, or ready for their session.
Overview
Your Waitlist is a live view of who's in the shop right now and where they are in line. You can add walk-in clients, see estimated wait times, and manage the queue as your day progresses.
How to Access Your Waitlist
- Click Waitlist in the sidebar under Business
- The page title is My Waitlist with the subtitle "Personal walk-in queue"
You'll also see a Waitlist Queue widget on your Dashboard showing the next client up with a Call Next Client button.
What You'll See
Queue Overview
- Search bar — Find clients by name, email, or phone number
- Queue filter — "My queue" dropdown to filter the view
- Queue count — How many clients are currently waiting (e.g., "0 waiting")
Client Cards
Each client in the queue shows:
- Name with a status badge (e.g., "Checked In #1")
- Assigned artist — Who the client is waiting for
- Phone number and email for quick contact
- Estimated wait time (e.g., "~30 min wait")
- View button to see full details
- Three-dot menu for more actions
Adding a Walk-in Client
Click + Add client in the top right. Enter the client's info or select an existing client. They'll appear in your queue with a position number.
Managing the Queue from Your Dashboard
Your My Work dashboard has a Waitlist Queue widget on the right side:
- Next Up — Name and phone of the next client in line
- Call Next Client — Notifies the next client it's their turn
- Manage waitlist link — Opens the full waitlist page
Waitlist Settings
Go to Settings > under Get Booked, click Waitlist to configure queue behavior, notifications, and capacity.
Tips
- Check your waitlist regularly during busy days
- Use the dashboard widget for a quick glance between sessions
- Add walk-in clients right away for an accurate count
- Keep an eye on wait times — check in with anyone waiting too long
Common Issues
- No clients on my waitlist — Clients appear when they check in or when you add them. Empty queue means nobody's waiting.
- Wait times seem wrong — They're estimated based on session length and queue position. They update as sessions complete.
- Client doesn't appear — They may be assigned to a different artist. Check the queue filter dropdown.
